Service Overview

The Service is a web-based application that allows users to input their federal tax contribution amount and allocate it across major federal budget categories (and sub-categories) according to their preferences. Aggregated data from verified users is displayed publicly to show collective taxpayer preferences compared to actual federal spending. Features include real-time sliders for allocation, comparison charts, tools to contact congressional representatives, and shareable results.

We offer three tiers:

  • Registered (Free): Basic access with email registration; allocations do not count toward public aggregates.
  • Verified Taxpayer ($9 one-time payment): Identity verification via third-party providers; allocations weighted by verified tax amount up to $500,000 cap; counts in aggregates.
  • Gold Verified ($29 one-time payment): Enhanced verification including IRS transcript pull; no cap on weighting; counts in aggregates.

Purchasing Verification Tiers

Payments for Verified and Gold tiers are one-time fees processed through Stripe, a third-party payment provider. By completing a purchase, You agree to Stripe's terms and payment policies. The Company is not responsible for Stripe's processing, including errors or disputes.

Upon successful payment and verification completion (via ID.me, Stripe Identity, Plaid, or similar third-party providers), your account upgrades to the selected tier permanently. Verification involves third-party checks; approval is not guaranteed and depends on their processes.

Refund Policy

No refunds are provided for tier purchases or any payments made through the Service, as they fund irreversible identity verification and payment processing services.

User Representations

By using the Service, You represent that all information provided (including tax amounts and identity data) is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Verified tiers require third-party confirmation; false claims may result in tier downgrade, account termination, or removal of your data from aggregates.

Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Use automated means (e.g., scraping, bots) to access, collect, or export data from the Service without explicit written consent.
  • Create multiple accounts or submit duplicate allocations to manipulate results.
  • Provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information, including inflated or fabricated tax amounts.
  • Spam, excessively share, or use Service features to harass or flood congressional representatives or others.
  • Engage in any activity that dilutes, distorts, or unfairly influences aggregate results or public displays.
  • Violate any applicable laws or these Terms.

Violations may result in immediate termination and data removal.
